2011 and Later Generation TIPM in Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, and Volkswagen Vans and SUVs
This generation of Totally Integrated Power Modules (TIPMs) was used by Chrysler between 2011 and 2014 for all of the MiniVans (Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan, RAM C/V and the Routan– a van made by Chrylser for Volkswagen) as well as Chrysler’s full-size SUVs (Dodge Durango and Journey, Jeep Liberty and Grand Cherokee). Visually indistinguishable from it’s predecessor, this generation of TIPM can be identified by the use of slightly smaller mechanical relays in 3 prominent slots. By 2011, Chrysler began using this TIPM style in the RAM Pickups, temporarily abandoning its foray into using solid state relays in the RAM product line.
