Senior Development Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced, technically skilled, and proactively innovative Senior Development Lead to join our growing IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a small team of developers and owning the technology roadmap for our organization. You will also work closely with our design and marketing teams to bring creative concepts to life through clean, efficient code.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and manage the IT roadmap for the entire organization, proactively identifying areas of improvement and leading the charge to get projects done flawlessly.
  • Manage a team of three developers in our Philippines office, ensuring a productive and efficient environment with clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Regularly communicate with leadership in our US office and quickly respond to technical issues that arise.
  • Provides hands-on development support where needed, serving as a player-coach to help move projects forward with your team.

Leadership Qualifications:


  • Management Background: At least 10 years of development experience, including leading a small to mid-sized team of developers (at least 3–10 people), mentoring junior engineers, and creating a collaborative, accountable culture.
  • Decision Making: Confidence in making architectural decisions, process improvements, and technology choices with long-term maintainability in mind.
  • Agile/Scrum Expertise: Familiarity with agile methodologies, sprint planning, and backlog grooming.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work with product, design, marketing, and operations to align tech initiatives with business objectives.

Technical Qualifications (Must-Haves):


  • Full-stack web: Strong in JavaScript/TypeScript and PHP.
  • E-commerce: Hands-on with WooCommerce (custom endpoints, hooks/filters, Store API) or equivalent systems.
  • API design & integration: RESTful API creation and integration with payment, logistics, or ERP/CRM systems.
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Git/GitHub workflows, Docker, AWS/GCP deployment, and CI pipelines.
  • Database optimization: Solid grasp of SQL/NoSQL, query tuning, caching, and indexing strategies.
  • Mobile (Ionic/Capacitor): Built at least one production app using Ionic + Capacitor. Familiar with native plugins (Camera, Filesystem, Push), offline storage, and packaging for iOS/Android.
  • WordPress: CPTs, WP REST API, transients, cron, enqueueing.
  • NestJS architecture: Modules, guards, interceptors, validation, Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
  • Performance & analytics:
    • Skilled in PageSpeed Insights, Core Web Vitals, and performance debugging (LCP, CLS, TBT, FID).
    • Knows how to optimize assets, lazy-load components, and implement code splitting and caching strategies.
    • Familiar with Google Tag Manager (GTM) setup, event tracking, and dataLayer usage.
    • SEO & Analytics: Structured data, canonical tags, indexing strategies for large catalogs, integration of GA4 with GTM.

Nice-to-Haves


  • C++ / Arduino:
    • Strong grasp of C++ programming fundamentals, serial communication, and embedded logic.
    • Experience working with Arduino, sensors, GPIO control, and data transmission to web APIs.

Quality Control Technician

MAKS is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Technician to join our growing production team. This role is critical to ensuring that our rebuilt automotive electronic controllers meet the high-quality standards our customers rely on. Ideal candidates will have a background in electronics manufacturing, manufacturing environments, or quality auditing. If you have experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS), warranty analysis, or production line inspections, we’d love to hear from you.

This job is full-time on-site in Chatsworth.

What You'll Do

  • Perform final inspections and functional testing of rebuilt electronic control modules
  • Conduct incoming and outgoing quality audits to ensure compliance with internal and customer standards
  • Document and track defects, working with technicians and engineers to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Support warranty claims analysis and assist in identifying systemic issues or recurring failures
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with internal Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 framework knowledge is a plus)
  • Develop and maintain quality control checklists and production documentation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and customer service teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the rebuild and remanufacturing process

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in a quality control or inspection role; electronics manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Understanding of quality assurance principles, standards, and methods (audit experience a strong plus)
  • Experience with basic electronics testing equipment (multimeters, scopes, etc.)
  • Experience working in or around ISO 9001-certified environments preferred
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong documentation skills
  • Ability to read technical schematics and work instructions
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
