Our system does not use the vehicle's ignition switch circuit as a bypass solution like others may. This not only can overload the ignition circuit more importantly it bypasses the ASD (automatic shutdown) circuit which is crucial for the safety of the vehicle and those inside it.
Instead, our system uses a signal from the ASD circuit that's more closely related to the original manufacturer's design for safety and efficiency but our unit has a solid-state component that will not break down like the original mechanical relay.
Using the ignition switch circuit means the fuel pump is on as long as the ignition is on, which isn't always safe, good for the battery, or even ideal.
