WARRANTY

MAK’S TIPMS WARRANTS THAT ALL NEW AND REBUILT TIPMS, AND TIPM REPAIR SERVICES, WILL BE DEFECT-FREE FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR FROM DATE OF PURCHASE.   FOR USED TIPMS, THE WARRANTY PERIOD MAY VARY DEPENDING UPON THE TIPM PURCHASED (SEE WEBSITE OR EBAY ITEM LISTING FOR THE PARTICULAR USED TIPM WARRANTY PERIOD).

IF, WITHIN THE WARRANTY PERIOD, ANY PURCHASED NEW, REBUILT, OR USED TIPM SHOULD FAIL, MAK’S WILL REMEDY BY REPLACING OR REPAIRING THE TIPM AT OUR EXPENSE, INCLUDING SHIPPING COSTS VIA USPS PRIORITY MAIL.  THIS APPLIES ONLY TO FAILURES INTEGRAL TO THE TIPM.   TIPMS DAMAGED BY OUTSIDE FORCES, SUCH AS FLOODS, VEHICLE ACCIDENTS, IMPROPER WIRING, OR SHORTS IN OTHER VEHICLE COMPONENTS, ARE NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY.   CASH REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED ONLY IN THE EVENT THAT A REPLACEMENT TIPM IS NOT AVAILABLE OR A REPAIR IS NOT POSSIBLE.

RETURNS

WHEN IT IS DETERMINED (IN MOST CASES) THAT THE BEST COURSE OF ACTION IS TO SEND YOU A TIPM TO REPLACE THE FAILED TIPM YOU HAD PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED, WE ASK THAT YOU FIRST SEND THE PURCHASED TIPM TO US PRIOR TO OUR SENDING YOU A REPLACEMENT.   IF THE TIPM FAILURE IS NOT SERIOUS AND YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO CONTINUE TO USE YOUR VEHICLE DURING THE REPLACEMENT SHIPPING PHASE, WE MAY ASK FOR A $100 DEPOSIT TO SHIP THE REPLACEMENT IMMEDIATELY SO THAT YOU CAN AVOID VEHICLE DOWNTIME.  THE DEPOSIT WILL BE FULLY REFUNDABLE WHEN WE RECEIVE THE RETURN.

WITHIN THE WARRANTY PERIOD OF A TIPM REPAIR, ONLY THE PERFORMED REPAIR IS WARRANTED.   SUBSEQUENT FAILURE OF OTHER COMPONENTS/FUNCTIONS OF THE TIPM UNRELATED TO THE REPAIR ARE NOT WARRANTED.

RE-STOCKING POLICY

IN THE EVENT THAT AFTER YOU HAVE PURCHASED A TIPM FROM US, YOU DISCOVER THE INITIAL PROBLEM WAS NOT WITH THE TIPM, YOU HAVE 30 DAYS FROM PURCHASE DATE TO RETURN THE UNDAMAGED TIPM TO US FOR A FULL REFUND LESS AN $85.00 RE-STOCKING FEE.    THE REFUND WILL BE ISSUED VIA THE PAYMENT CHANNEL WITH WHICH YOU ORIGINALLY BOUGHT THE TIPM AND WILL OCCUR AFTER WE HAVE RECEIVED AND INSPECTED THE RE-STOCK TIPM IN OUR FACILITY.

CORE BUYBACK PROGRAM

MAK’S DOES NOT CHARGE AN UP-FRONT CORE FEE.   HOWEVER, WE MAY BE WILLING TO BUY BACK YOUR CORE (OLD TIPM), DEPENDING UP ON THE MAKE/MODEL/YEAR AND THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEMS IN THE OLD TIPM.     AFTER THE VEHICLE IS FULLY BACK IN SERVICE WITH THE REPLACED TIPM, CALL US AT 818-798-5558 TO DISCUSS IF YOUR OLD TIPM IS ELIGIBLE FOR OUR CORE BUY-BACK PROGRAM

WHEN SHIPPING A TIPM TO MAK’S FOR ANY REASON, PLEASE INCLUDE A NOTE IN THE BOX WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

  • YOUR NAME
  • YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
  • YOUR PHONE NUMBER
  • A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ANY SYMPTOMS EXPERIENCED WITH THE TIPM.  IF YOU ARE SENDING THE TIPM UNDER THE RE-STOCKING POLICY, PLEASE EXPLICITLY STATE SO IN YOUR NOTE SO WE CAN MORE QUICKLY PROCESS YOUR REFUND.

FOR SHIPMENTS AT YOUR EXPENSE, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND USING US POSTAL SERVICE’S “MEDIUM FLAT RATE SHIPPING BOX”.   IT WILL COST YOU LESS THAN $14.00, INCLUDES SHIPMENT TRACKING, AND USUALLY ARRIVES TO US WITHIN 2 DAYS.    SAVE THE TRACKING NUMBER.   FOR SHIPMENTS YOU MAKE AT OUR EXPENSE WE REQUIRE THIS SHIPPING METHOD.   OR ASK US TO EMAIL YOU A SHIPPING LABEL.   SHIPPING COST REIMBURSEMENTS GREATER THAN $14.00 PER SHIPMENT WILL NOT BE MADE.
